Thank you, Madam Chair, I rise to speak briefly on two Items, one is the G20 and the other one is the Brandon Road Bushcare.

The Brandon Road Bushcare Group is a very active local group of residents who live locally to Williams Park. They've been working within that park area for more than 15 years. We were a little bit worried there because at one point we got down to about three or four members of us coming on a once a month basis so it was starting to get a little bit much.

But the Rotaract Sunnybank Hills Volunteers have joined our group now. So we regularly get at least seven or eight young members coming along every month and helping out with the weeding and the planting and rubbish picking up and everything like that. I also want to acknowledge that we just last weekend had the first anniversary of the passing of Frank Buchanan who was a local resident, was involved with the group with his wife, who today is still very active in the group as well.

The other issue was the G20. I wanted to raise just how excited I am personally about having the G20 here in Brisbane. My daughter and her friends had an assignment due on Monday and of course Sunday morning decided that she needed to go to South Bank to do some filming. So as you can imagine I didn't think it was completely appropriate but anyway I made some phone calls. They said no, absolutely fine, no problems at all. As long as they've got their student ID and they're prepared to explain what they're doing then there are no dramas.

I thought with the situation with 95 per cent of the population being represented here in Brisbane at this particular time, I don't think that's a great deal to ask for as far as security goes. The kids came home. They said it was fine, there were no dramas and they had a wonderful time. They took photos in front of the big Brisbane sign and everything like that. So I'm really looking forward to G20 coming and I'm really hoping I come across the motorcade because I think it's a once in a lifetime experience. I'm certainly glad to be part of Brisbane City Council when this happens. Thank you.
